UM Surabaya Enters the Top 3 Rankings of the Best Private Universities in Surabaya UniRank 2023 Version

University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UM Surabaya) again achieved a proud achievement by entering the top 3 ranking of the best private universities in Surabaya based on an assessment conducted by the Indonesia University Ranking UniRank 2023. In the order of public and private universities in Indonesia, UM Surabaya is in 91st position nationally, meanwhile in the category of the best Muhammadiyah campuses in Indonesia UM Surabaya is in 9th position. UniRank is an international directory of higher education as well as an online search engine with review features and rankings for more than 13,000 universities in 200 countries.

The basic UniRank ranking methodology is based on a web algorithm using 5 web metrics including Ireg, Alexa Global Rank, Moz Domain Authority, SimiliarWeb Global Rank, and Majestic to ensure independence.

The web matrix is ​​an algorithm that is measured, among others, based on the number of website visitors or the level of activity on the website.

Mundakir Deputy Chancellor IV of UM Surabaya in charge of Cooperation and Digitalization responded positively to the results released by UniRank 2023. According to him, UM Surabaya deserved this nomination, thanks to the university's efforts to improve quality in all aspects.

"Thank you to all of the UM Surabaya academic community for all the hard work so far, so that UM Surabaya is included in the top three best private universities in Surabaya and is included in the 10 best Muhammadiyah campuses in Indonesia," he said.

He reminded that the results obtained today should not be easily satisfied, he still urged them to improve their performance, so that together they would make UM Surabaya the best and be reckoned with on a global scale.

Mundakir also hopes that this achievement will become a reference for the entire academic community to work together and continue to work together so that UM Surabaya's target of becoming a superior campus in 2024 can be achieved.
