Community Service and Empowerment

Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya is active in encouraging and realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in society. Together with the community, Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya works together to encourage the discovery of solutions to problems that occur in society. This realization was realized by UMSurabaya through a number of community service programs that were continuously adjusted and optimized.

KKN (Real Work Lecture)

Real Work Lecture (KKN) is a form of community service activity by students with a cross-scientific and sectoral approach at certain times and regions in Indonesia. The implementation of KKN activities usually lasts between one to two months and takes place in village-level areas.

Assisted Village Program

UMSurabaya actively and continuously participates in facilitating community empowerment programs that have a direct impact on the community through the Desa Binaan program (village community empowerment). This program is intended to help communities solve their problems through a multi-sectoral approach. The program also guides village communities to improve their socio-economic conditions and facilitates citizens' access to information and knowledge. This program empowers village communities to optimize their potential to utilize their resources.

ResearchMU

ResearchMU is a community service financing program provided by the PP Muhammadiyah Research and Development Higher Education Council for Muhammadiyah tertiary lecturers and students.

Research DRIM

Research DRIM is a community service financing program provided by UMSurabaya for internal lecturers and students.

Kemenristekdikti grants

Kemenristekdikti grants are a form of support from the government through the ministry in order to facilitate higher education institutions to carry out research and community service.
