Sukadiono, who is familiarly called Suko, spent his school years in Jombang. When he was in high school he chose a physics major which he considered complicated and full of challenges. After graduating from high school, Suko wanted to continue studying engineering at ITB. "It's just that when I was about to choose to enter ITB engineering, my father said: Mbok, don't enter tole engineering," said the 5th child of the Karijo and Supingit couple.

Apparently, his father wanted Suko to be different from his brothers and sisters who had studied engineering (ITS) a lot. “Father wanted me to choose medicine. So, yes... yes, the principle is ridhallah fi ridhal walidaini. In the end, I followed your father's advice," he obeyed

Not wanting to take risks, Suko enrolled in UNAIR medicine and ITB engineering. Efforts to tread in college went smoothly. He was accepted as a student candidate at UNAIR and ITB. As an obedient child and for the sake of pleasing his parents, it was finally decided to enter UNAIR medicine. Because from the beginning he felt that he was not his own choice, during his medical studies, Suko dealt with it in an ordinary way – one might even say very relaxed. Moreover, he honestly admitted that he did not aspire to become a doctor.

It's no wonder that in the early days of college he felt uncomfortable and innately wanted to leave. "But, again, considering the wishes of my parents and on the advice of a friend who has become a doctor, they asked me to be patient and just work on it," he said. “Besides, my friend told me that being a doctor is good. Well.. continue studying in medicine even though I have to go for 10 years, hahaha.." he explained accompanied by laughter that seemed to laugh at the length of his college years.

Dr. Mundakir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.

Dr. Mundakir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep, was appointed by the Chancellor of UMSurabaya on Wednesday 14 April 2020 as Deputy Chancellor IV of the Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya (Vice Chancellor IV of UMSurabaya) who oversees the fields of Cooperation, Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan, and Digitalization of the Service Period 2020-2024.

Born in Lamongan on March 23 1974. He comes from a very simple family in Gendongkulon Village, Babat District, Lamongan Regency. His father was a farmer and his mother was a fruit seller at the market. Due to limited funds, after graduating from high school he worked as a Capster, a wood factory worker, helping trade in the market, and as a freelance employee at a subsidiary of PT Petro Kimia. Two years after graduating from high school he then studied at Muhammadiyah University in Surabaya.

He completed his studies at the campus of Muhammadiyah University Surabaya in 1998, Airlangga University in 2003, University of Indonesia in 2009, and Airlangga University in 2017.

In the course of his career he has been a Lecturer at DPK LLDikti 7 since 2005, Head of the Bachelor of Nursing Study Program, FIK UMSurabaya, Deputy Dean 1 of FIK UMSurabaya, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK UMSurabaya), and the current Deputy Chancellor IV of UMSurabaya.

As a lecturer, he is active and professional in academic and creative activities. These include being a resource person, journal reviewer, researcher, LAMPTKes assessor, and BKD assessor. There are 10 books he has written, as well as various publications in national and international journals.
