University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya (UMSurabaya) has a pentagon-shaped symbol, the basic color is blue, inside which is written the University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya, images of rice and cotton with the symbol "Muhammadiyah" which has the following meanings:
- The pentagon: in accordance with the spirit of the pillars of Islam and the five precepts in Pancasila
- Blue base color: symbol of peace
- Rice and Cotton: fighting for the welfare of the nation and state
- Coat of arms of Muhammadiyah: The sun shines with twelve main rays, in the middle it is written "Muhammadiyah" (in Arabic letters) and the circle of the creed "Asyhadu an la illaha illa Allah wa asyhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah Allah" (in Arabic letters)
